Roles During Project - UI/Visual Designer
Tools Used - Photoshop, Figma
The purpose of this project was to design a series of digital welcome display signs that would be placed onto ITW's entrance display monitors in order for clients to know where the tours started.
Step 1 - I would receive news from my supervisor that a client would come on a specific date to tour ITW's facilities.
Step 2 - Based off of the information that was given, I would create the display signs in Photoshop. Sometimes, I would plan them out in Figma regarding how I would want them to look on the monitors
Step 3 - For the ones I would plan out in Figma, I would transfer those designs to Photoshop to finalize them. After creating the Photoshop designs, I would transfer these designs to an SD drive and look at how they appeared on the entrance display monitors. Anything that would need to be edited or changed in the sign, I would go back and make that correction in Photoshop.
Step 4 - After I've made all of my corrections to the welcome signs, I would check-in with my supervisor to see if he was satisfied with everything.
Feedback from Supervisor - Overall, my supervisor was impressed with the visual design of the welcome signs.
Feedback from Clients - The clients were able to find and locate their designated areas to begin the tours. One client even gave good feedback on the welcome sign for ITW Appliance Components and Whirlpool (as shown below).
